Audio conferencing or teleconferencing, as is also commonly knows as, is an efficient and cost effective way to share information and conduct business across vast distances. Systems can be as simple as a desktop solution all the way up to a full-featured built-to-spec teleconference suite. They can accommodate as little as one or two participants to an entire auditorium. That system, however simple or complex, is only as good as how well its integrated and how much the user understands about its capabilities and operation.
Hugh’s is equipped to supply all aspects of a teleconference solution. We can even re calibrate and reprogram almost any current system to improve performance. With experience and training in wide variety of BiAmp, ClearOne (Formerly Gentner) and Polycom systems we are able to get the best possible results even in some acoustically tough environments.
When it comes to being heard, a microphone is not just a microphone. Proper microphone choice is imperative to guarantee your message gets through, every syllable . Shure, Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, Countryman, AudioTechnica & Revolabs are our most common recommendations based on performance, application, durability, features and price (no order is implied). Each system is then calibrated and programmed to address the acoustical characteristics of the room and the microphones.
For those environments which require special acoustic treatments, we have equipment to analyze items that need to be addressed either electronically or by modifying the space. That information is used to make recommendations in an effort to meet certain criteria used in the industry to rate these environments for best results.

Getting the truth about the room
Setting up a conferencing system properly requires that the person doing the setup be informed about the spaces acoustics, resonance, NC Rating and other properties.
To help us understand more about the spaces in which we deploy audio & video conference systems, we use the Terrasonde Audio Toolbox.
We can also use it to balance audio systems, test cables and provide time based room analysis information to better set up our installations.
