Hugh’s is constantly involved in projects around the area here are some current projects we are working on:
VASSAR COLLEGE:
Vassar Science Project
This project focused on upgrading the teaching environments in the New England building and Sanders Physics building during a substantial renovation of the two buildings. Hugh’s implemented Crestron DM, HD projection, AirMedia and a simple to operate control system to enable instructors to focus on the lessons and not the technology. In the Sanders Physics building there are two rooms which are specialized for their purpose. Room 309 is a dual projection system featuring Digital Projection projectors and a Crestron TSW-1050 touch screen for control. Room 206 is a collaboration classroom environment which allows multi-source projection on two screens with the added benefit of three Smart interactive displays that can be used for breakout sessions or student/instructor collaboration. It also features a Crestron TSW-1050 touch screen for control.
Subsequent continuation of this project will commence in the Olmsted building in late 2014 and hopefully the newly constructed Bridge building in 2015.
IBM CORPORATION, POUGHKEEPSIE:
Building 705 Poughkeepsie Briefing Center
This project has gone through many revisions in order to ensure the client was getting what they wanted. Scheduled to commence in November 2014, this project will be an almost complete rebuild of the IBM Briefing Center AV system. All projectors will be updated to 1080p with Stewart Filmscreen StarGlas as the rear projection surface. A combination of Crestron DM 8G+ copper and fiber will be used to send video and audio between rooms and the Master Control suite. HD video conferencing, AV meeting recording and scheduling, multi-purpose format room resizing and a host of other features and functions will set the Poughkeepsie 705 Briefing Center apart form other centers in the US and world.
STEWART AIR NATIONAL GUARD
NYANG Command Post
We upgraded the NYANG Command Post for the 105th Airlift Wing at Stewart AFB in Newburgh NY. Moving the client away from analog PC distribution, we deployed an HDBaseT solution that allowed users to send PC video from up to 4 connected PCs to any of 5 displays. We also included CATV and a DVD/VCR for additional source options. We reprogrammed their existing Crestron controller and touch screen with an informative and intuitive user interface to make the system less intimidating to operate.
OTHER NOTABLE PROJECTS
Dutchess Community College : We will be bringing our skill set to the local community college to perform some installation work in some recently upgraded classrooms.
Vassar College VCDF Multi-Media Lab 215: We upgraded the multi-media lab from composite video distribution to a DM-MD-16X16 DM solution
Joel Barlow Athletic Complex, Fairfeid County, Connecticut: We installed the custom audio system for the new athletic field and press-box.
